Feeding Guide
Please supervise your pet when feeding YAKERS and always ensure fresh drinking water is available. Once your dog has enjoyed the YAKERS, take the remaining small end piece and place it in a microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds until it puffs up. Allow to cool, then give it back to your dog to finish the chew!

It all starts with the Yak…

The milk gets delivered from Yak farms, local dairies and individual herders in the Himalayas.

The milk is turned into cheese

Once the cream is removed to make sure each chew is low in fat, we add a small amount of lime juice and salt to the recipe to help solidify the cheese.

The cheese is then compressed

Most of the moisture is removed from the hardened solids using a muslin cloth, this squeezes out any excess to get the cheese ready to rest.

Time to rest

Once the blocks are formed, they are left to rest for a few days, making them the perfect texture to be cut.

Then cut and smoke dried

Once each chew has been cut to size, they are hung on a wire grid in specialist smoking sheds and smoke-dried for 28 days.
