Founded in 2014 by Jordan McCabe, Aztec Diamond derives its name from the CEO’s beloved horse. McCabe, who began her journey at the age of 18, struggled to find fashionable, technical sportswear in the equestrian industry at an attainable cost throughout her showjumping career. Driven by her childhood dream, she established her own equestrian sportswear brand, designing premium quality products that she felt were missing from the market.

As the brand grew, both McCabe and Aztec Diamond evolved naturally. McCabe gradually shifted her focus from riding to pursuing her business goals, and her active, busy lifestyle influenced the transition of AD products into everyday designs with a performance-oriented edge.

The brand is dedicated to creating modern designs built for form and function. This commitment to continuous innovation has led to the development of garments renowned for their bold minimalist style and dynamic durability, transcending the equestrian world to include a range of sports and elevated everyday wear.

Aztec Diamond continues to be designed and styled in-house in the UK. Raised in a working-class background with no extensive experience in business or textiles, founder and CEO Jordan McCabe built Aztec Diamond from the ground up as a teenager.

“All I ever wanted to do was design equestrian clothing,” says McCabe. “I still have folders full of designs from when I was around ten or eleven years old. Those designs marked the beginning of my journey and evolved into the products we create today.”

A decade on, McCabe remains true to her creative vision, designing and developing products in-house alongside a growing team.

“I would never develop something that I wouldn’t wear now or have worn myself when I was younger. It’s about continuously innovating while staying true to our roots.”

Through her work with Aztec Diamond, McCabe has earned a place on the coveted “Forbes 30 Under 30” list and has received multiple awards, including Lloyds Bank’s New Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneur’s Forum Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards’ Best in Retail.
