Fager Nils is suitable if you would describe your horse as the following;
- Pulls against a contact yet reacts to increased pressure.
- Unsteady in the connection.
- Feels stiff in any standard straight bit.
- Doesn’t instinctively seek out the contact.
Nils is a stable barrelled sweet tasting bit known for its comfortable design which contours naturally over the tongue. The barrel tube creates a fast, natural lock in any direction. Ideal to use on horses who needs encouragement to seek more contact without feeling stiff in the hand.
Nils is designed to give extra stability in the mouth for more direct, effective communication making it less confusing for horses who don’t instinctively respond to the aids.
A Beval bit has a similar effect to a 2½ & 3 Ring Snaffle, but has a softer effect and less leverage. Gives a flexible, soft feeling in the hand.
This bit can be used with the reins in multiple positions depending on what effect you’d like from the bit.
It can also be used with a gag rein thanks to the special design with bent loop rings on the inside. The gag rein can slide smoothly in the loop rings.
